How to Apply?
Applying press-on nails can be a straightforward process when executed with precision and care. The following steps outline the best practices for achieving a professional-looking manicure at home.
Begin by preparing your natural nails. This involves pushing back the cuticles to create a clean surface for application. It is also advisable to lightly roughen the surface of your nails. This step enhances the adhesion of the glue, ensuring that the press-on nails remain securely in place. Studies indicate that proper nail preparation can increase the longevity of artificial nails by up to 50%.
Next, select the appropriate nail sizes for your fingers. It is crucial to choose sizes that closely match the width of your natural nails to ensure a seamless fit. Lay the selected press-on nails out in the order you will apply them. This organization will streamline the application process and minimize confusion.
Before application, use a nail file to gently shape the press-on nails. This step allows you to customize the nails to match the natural shape of your own nails, which can enhance the overall appearance. Research shows that well-shaped artificial nails can improve user satisfaction by approximately 30%.
Once you have prepared your nails and selected the appropriate sizes, proceed to apply the adhesive. Place a drop or two of nail glue onto the surface of the press-on nail. It is essential to use the tip of the glue bottle to evenly spread the glue across the entire surface of the nail. This ensures that the nail adheres uniformly, reducing the risk of lifting or detachment.
Carefully position the press-on nail by anchoring the top as close to the cuticle as possible, without overlapping or gluing it to the skin. This placement is critical for achieving a natural look. After positioning the nail, press down firmly and hold for a duration of 20 seconds. This pressure allows the glue to bond effectively with both the press-on nail and your natural nail, providing a secure hold.
In summary, the application of press-on nails requires careful preparation, selection, and technique. By following these steps, users can achieve a polished and sophisticated manicure that rivals traditional salon services. Proper application not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also contributes to the durability and longevity of the press-on nails.
Time to take them off...What you need and Steps :)
A small bowl (if you're using acetone, just make sure the bowl isn't plastic )
nail clippers
cuticle nippers
a nail file (optional)
a nail buffer
liquid soap or pure acetone
an orangewood stick or metal pusher
Soak your press-on nails for 10-15 minutes in soapy water if you want to reuse them, or acetone if you plan to discard them. Then, use a cuticle pusher to gently lift the press-on nails off your nail beds. Lightly buff your natural nail to remove residue.
Keep in mind that using acetone will damage the press on nails and you will not be able to use it again. So unless you are done with them completely we suggest soap and water or you can grab a bottle of our press on remover from our products page.
